Assam police have taken a man and his wife into custody following the death of a 71-year-old woman in Guwahati. The incident took place in the Kharghuli Hills area. Authorities confirmed the arrests, and investigations are underway.
The accused, Ratul Das, served as the caretaker for the victim. He lived with his wife in a room adjacent to the elderly woman’s residence. Both suspects have reportedly confessed to the crime, admitting to fatally stabbing the woman.
