The implementation of the Next Gen e-Hospital system, along with the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission and the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, has significantly improved healthcare in the Bastar division. Under the guidance of Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, Chhattisgarh’s healthcare services are embracing modern technology. The e-Hospital system is successfully operational in several district hospitals, civil hospitals, and community health centers, integrating essential services onto a digital platform. This integration has led to increased transparency, efficiency, and patient satisfaction. Furthermore, initiatives like Health Facility Registration, Health Professional Registration, and ABHA kiosks are streamlining patient experiences, enabling digital health accounts, and reducing wait times. The positive impact is evident in the increased number of ABHA-linked OPD registrations at district hospitals, offering patients access to their health records nationwide. This initiative, driven by the Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, serves as a model for the state, aiming to provide timely, accessible, and quality treatment while contributing to a ‘Healthy and Empowered Chhattisgarh’.
