The Bihar Cabinet, under the leadership of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, has approved a new youth internship scheme as part of the ‘7 Nischay-2′ initiative. This scheme aims to provide Bihar’s youth with advanced skills, better employability, and leadership development opportunities. The program will offer internships to approximately one lakh young people from 2025-26 to 2030-31. The scheme provides financial assistance to interns: ₹4,000 for 12th-class pass outs, ₹5,000 for ITI or diploma holders, and ₹6,000 for graduates or postgraduates. Meanwhile, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav criticized the Election Commission of India (ECI) regarding the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, alleging it is being used to manipulate the upcoming Bihar elections. Yadav expressed concerns about the ECI’s responsiveness to opposition parties’ concerns and suggested potential imposition of President’s rule.
