The Bihar cabinet has approved a policy to provide accommodation for women government servants near their place of posting. This decision, benefiting teachers, constables, and other female government employees, aims to ensure their safety and security, especially those posted in rural areas. The initiative involves leasing accommodations from private landlords, with rent to be determined by the Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) and a committee headed by the District Magistrate. The cabinet also sanctioned the creation of clerical posts in the Panchayati Raj Department, approved the establishment of a new Agriculture Marketing Directorate, and authorized the creation of various posts in different departments. Furthermore, amendments to birth and death registration rules were approved, along with the establishment of Mega Skill Centres and updates to advertisement regulations in municipal areas. The government also extended the benefits of the PM Awas Yojana to nine Scheduled Tribe communities and approved flood management projects. Finally, the cabinet dismissed seven health department personnel for unauthorized absence.
