A devastating road accident on the Daniyawan-Hilsa road in Bihar claimed the lives of eight individuals on Saturday morning. The incident occurred within the Shahjahanpur police station area of Daniyawan block. According to authorities, all the victims were residents of Reddy Malama village, located under the Hilsa police station in the Nalanda district. They were en route to Triveni Sangam, Fatuha, intending to take a holy bath in the Ganga River. The collision, involving an auto-rickshaw and a heavy vehicle (Hyva), occurred around 6:45 AM. Five individuals sustained injuries and are receiving treatment at Patna Medical College Hospital. Local police, traffic officials, and ambulances were promptly dispatched to the scene following the report of the accident. The Civil Surgeon is in communication with the hospital superintendent to ensure appropriate medical care for the injured. The administration is committed to providing support to the victims and their families. Local administration, police, and traffic police are present at the site, providing aid to the injured and the families of the deceased. The SDPO of Fatuha-1, the SDO of Patna City, and the Rural Superintendent of Police were also on the spot, overseeing rescue operations and ensuring necessary actions. The Daniyawan Circle Officer has been instructed to follow the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), and all officials are directed to collaborate effectively to assist the affected families. The Rural SP has been tasked with supervising the security arrangements at the location.
