AIMIM leader Akhtarul Iman has called for a protest in Patna on June 29 against the central government’s Waqf Amendment Act. He urged the Muslim community to participate, denouncing the law as a ploy to hide the Modi government’s failures and labeling it as anti-constitutional. Iman also expressed concern over the Iran-Israel conflict, calling for support for Iran. He stated that the government aims to create conditions akin to civil war. Iman emphasized that if Muslims want to protect their traditions, including beards, caps, and cemeteries, they must join the rally. He also criticized the re-election of Lalu Prasad Yadav as the RJD’s national president.
