A shocking incident unfolded in Bhagalpur, Bihar, where a man shot his wife and daughter, leaving them seriously injured. Subsequently, he attempted suicide by stabbing himself in the abdomen. The incident drew a crowd of onlookers who intervened and rushed all three to the hospital for treatment. Police have launched an investigation into the matter. The accused has been identified as Mohammad Mazhar.
The incident occurred in the Nyatola Habibpur village of the Goradih police station area. On Saturday night, during a domestic dispute, Mazhar shot his wife, Afroza, and daughter, Shakeela. Both are reported to be in critical condition. The gunshots and cries for help alerted neighbors, who gathered at the scene. Seeing the crowd, the accused attempted suicide by stabbing himself. However, local residents prevented him from doing so.
They then transported them to the hospital. The police were notified and are conducting an investigation. The reason behind Mazhar’s actions remains unclear. The police recovered a country-made pistol, a live cartridge, and a knife from the scene.

The injured wife and daughter are in critical condition, while the accused is undergoing treatment in police custody.
