The Agricultural University, Sabour, has been awarded an ‘A’ grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), marking a significant achievement for Bihar. This accomplishment, according to Deputy Chief Minister and Agriculture Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha, solidifies Bihar’s position among the leading states in higher education, research, and innovation. The success is attributed to the university’s dedication, diligent efforts, and collaborative environment involving faculty, scientists, staff, students, and farmers. NAAC’s peer team evaluated various aspects of the university, including academics, administration, infrastructure, research, and outreach, from May 28th to May 30th. This recognition underscores the university’s commitment to excellence in higher education, research, innovation, and national development. The university has achieved a CGPA of 3.08 in just 15 years, reflecting its strong presence at the national level. The grading also aligns with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, highlighting the effective implementation of the Bihar Agriculture Roadmap and the state government’s leadership. The university has restructured its curriculum to be multidisciplinary, skill-oriented, and innovation-driven, which has been highly appreciated by the NAAC team.
