A state-level monthly review meeting was held at the Agriculture Department, Bihar, chaired by Principal Secretary Pankaj Kumar. The meeting took place in the auditorium at Krishi Bhawan, Patna, with the participation of agricultural officers from all divisions and districts. Key topics discussed included the coverage of the Kharif (autumn) crop, the status of data uploads on the Bihan app, diesel subsidies, contingency crop plans, rainfall conditions, and agricultural input grants.
The Principal Secretary directed officials to ensure the timely execution of all applications related to agricultural inputs. He emphasized that the purpose of seed distribution is to provide farmers with seeds on time, which directly impacts crop production and productivity. Therefore, a review of the seed distribution plan will be conducted after the crop season, based on coverage and production figures.
