BJP leaders and workers held a silent protest on Saturday in Patna, near Mahatma Gandhi’s statue in Gandhi Maidan, to condemn the inappropriate remarks made against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Participants wore black bands on their hands. Patna Sahib MP Ravi Shankar Prasad, leading the protest, stated that the people of Bihar would not tolerate insults to a mother. He demanded an apology from Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav. He questioned whether insulting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mother was considered proper conduct.
Minister Nitin Naveen said that the people of Bihar would not tolerate the insult of a mother. BJP workers are not afraid of any oppression and the struggle against the insult of a mother will continue. National Minister Rituraj Sinha said that the use of abusive language against the Prime Minister’s late mother, even from a public platform, has shamed the entire Bihar. This is not the culture of Bihar, where mothers are revered. We worship Chhathi Maiya.
MP Dr. Sanjay Jaiswal said that the language used against the Prime Minister’s mother was highly condemnable. He said that Bihar’s history has never been one of disrespecting women, and the people of Bihar and the country would respond to this. Former MP Ramkripal Yadav said that this is not just an insult to PM Modi’s mother, but a comment against every mother in the country, which cannot be tolerated. This has shamed the entire Bihar. He also asked why they were silent when BJP MLA Janak Singh used derogatory language against Tejashwi Yadav’s mother and sister in the Bihar Assembly. He stated that the BJP’s identity has been abusive and culturally inappropriate.
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi addressed a massive public gathering on the 14th day of the Voter Rights Yatra in Ara, along with Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal, CPI(ML) General Secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya, VIP founder Mukesh Sahani, and Congress State President Rajesh Ram.
