Bihar Floods Turn Road Into Death Trap, Four Relatives Lost

The village of Koili Khutha in Bhagalpur became a deadly sinkhole when floodwater filled the roadway. Four members of the same household – a woman, her two daughters and her son – were caught in the hidden depth while moving toward their farm. A fifth casualty, a local teen, also perished. Villagers launched an immediate rescue effort, but despite their attempts the victims were declared dead at the district hospital. The incident has sparked calls for better safety measures on flood-prone routes.
