Bihar’s Sugarcane Industry Minister, Krishnanandan Paswan, has issued a stern warning regarding timely sugarcane price payments and the completion of survey work in the state. He emphasized that any negligence in these areas would result in strict action against the concerned officials and mill management. The minister also urged for active contributions in the realm of CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) to foster local development. This directive came during a review meeting held at the Development Building office, chaired by the minister himself. The meeting covered various aspects, including the current status of sugarcane price payments, the ongoing sugarcane survey, different departmental schemes, expansion plans of sugar mills, the status of payments from regional development councils, and the need for research, development, and innovation.
