Bihar MLC Polls: Shock Results in Patna Graduate and Teacher Seats

Early results of the Bihar Legislative Council elections have revealed a significant upset in the Patna Graduate and Patna Teacher constituencies. Neeraj Kumar of the JDU won the Patna Graduate seat. In the Patna Teacher seat, Dr. Sanjeev Kumar of the RJD defeated BJP's veteran leader Naval Kishore Yadav, a result that marks a historic turn for the seat. Dr. Sanjeev Kumar won by 1,057 votes. Yadav had been successful in this constituency for nearly 30 years, which makes the defeat especially important for the BJP.
