The Bihar Police Subordinate Services Commission (BPSSC) has announced a recruitment drive for 1,799 Sub-Inspector (SI) positions. The application process will commence on September 26th and conclude on October 26th. Interested candidates can apply through the official website, bpssc.bihar.gov.in. The notification for the Bihar Police SI Recruitment 2025 was released on September 23rd. The eligibility criteria include a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university in any stream. Applicants should be between 20 and 37 years old. Age relaxation is provided to female candidates, Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and other Backward Classes as per government rules. The selection process will involve a preliminary examination, a main written examination, a physical efficiency test, a physical standard test, document verification, and a medical examination. The preliminary examination will consist of 100 questions totaling 200 marks, with a duration of two hours. Candidates scoring less than 30 percent in the preliminary exam will be disqualified from the main examination. The main examination will consist of two papers. The first paper will be on general Hindi, with 100 questions totaling 200 marks, to be completed in 2 hours.
