Bihar Receives New Trains: Inauguration of Express, Vande Bharat, and Amrit Bharat Services

Bihar has been gifted with two new railway lines, an express train, a Vande Bharat train, and two Amrit Bharat trains. These were inaugurated virtually by Prime Minister Narendra Modi from Purnia district. The Prime Minister laid the foundation stone for a 26-kilometer-long railway line between Vikramshila and Kataria, and also inaugurated a new 111-kilometer-long railway line between Araria and Galgaliya (Thakurganj). The new train services flagged off by PM Modi include the Katihar-Siliguri Express, the Jogbani-Danapur Vande Bharat Express, the Saharsa-Chheharta (Amritsar) Amrit Bharat Express, and the Jogbani-Erode Amrit Bharat Express. Details and special timetables for all the trains have been released.
