The Election Commission of India (ECI) has published the draft electoral roll for Bihar. This follows a Special Intensive Revision (SIR) campaign conducted over a month in preparation for upcoming assembly elections. Approximately 6.5 million names are expected to be removed from the voter list due to updated verification processes during this revision. If you’re unsure whether your name remains on the list, you can easily check your status online or via a mobile app.
Under SIR guidelines, voters and political parties can request to add eligible individuals’ names or object to entries deemed ineligible from August 1st to September 1st.
