Investigators Trace Bishnoi Gang Activities from Gorakhpur to Bihar and Beyond

The ongoing probe into the Lawrence Bishnoi gang has broadened its geographical scope after linking the Gorakhpur cell with operatives in Bihar's Betia region and other neighboring areas. Intelligence gathered from seized mobile devices and social‑media footprints revealed coordinated communication between the Uttar Pradesh and Bihar factions.

Authorities have also revisited older cases involving the Arms Act, comparing weapon serial numbers recovered in previous raids with those currently linked to the Asalha network. Early indications suggest that some firearms used by the gang may have originated from earlier illegal caches, hinting at a longer‑standing criminal infrastructure.

The STF has pledged to continue mapping the network's nodes, aiming to identify not only the remaining 26 wanted individuals but also any peripheral actors who facilitate logistics, money laundering or distribution.
