A shocking case has emerged from Muzaffarpur, Bihar, where a woman alleges her in-laws demanded her kidney as part of dowry. The woman, identified as Deepti, filed a complaint with the Muzaffarpur Mahila Thana, detailing the extreme demands and abuse she faced after her marriage in 2021. Initially, everything seemed normal, but later, her in-laws began harassing her for money, a motorcycle, and jewelry. When she refused to comply, they pressured her to donate a kidney to her ailing husband. The woman is now at her parents’ home and has sought a divorce, which her husband has refused to grant. The police have registered a case against her husband and three other family members.
