A woman traveling from Teghra, Begusarai to Darbhanga, Bihar, has gone missing from a train. Her husband, Sumit Kumar, filed a complaint with the Laheriasarai railway police station, stating that he and his wife, Aanchal Kumari, boarded the Howrah-Jayanagar train from Teghra station on June 28, 2025. Near Samastipur station, his wife mentioned she was going to the restroom and did not return. Sumit explained that he dozed off briefly. When he woke up, he searched for his wife, but she was nowhere to be found. He checked the bathroom, but she wasn’t there. He searched the entire bogie without any luck. The train had already reached Laheriasarai. They searched at the station, but could not find her.
Sumit also mentioned that he tried calling his wife’s mobile, but it was switched off. He has provided the mobile number to the police. Sumit revealed that they got married on May 18, 2025, in the Begusarai district. They had been living together for the past month and a half. There was no prior knowledge of any love affair. Sumit said that he filed a complaint at the police station, but no information has been received so far.
