A wedding celebration in the Vaishali district of Bihar turned violent due to the absence of the ‘Jaimala’ ritual. A dispute erupted, leading to a physical altercation where members of the bride’s family were injured. The incident, captured in a viral video, shows the groom’s party assaulting the bride’s family. The brawl occurred after the groom’s friends insisted on the ‘Jaimala’ ceremony, a custom not practiced by the bride’s family. When the bride’s family explained their tradition, the groom’s party threatened to leave without the wedding. Despite the initial tension, the wedding proceeded. However, the bride’s brother was later beaten at the groom’s house. Upon learning of the incident, the bride’s father and other relatives were attacked by the groom’s party.
