Addressing a public meeting in Ara, Chirag Paswan announced his decision to contest the upcoming Bihar assembly elections from all 243 seats. He stated that he aims to strengthen the NDA alliance and contribute to its victory. Paswan clarified that his decision to contest is not solely for his personal gain, but for the betterment of Bihar, leaving the choice to the people to decide whether he should participate and from which constituency. Paswan also criticized the RJD and Congress, holding them accountable for the ‘jungle raj’ era. He further commented on Rahul Gandhi’s allegations against the Election Commission, suggesting that such statements indicate a pre-emptive acceptance of defeat. Paswan also reiterated that he is not eyeing the Chief Minister’s chair.
