An online application for a residency certificate in the name of former U.S. President Donald Trump has been filed in the Samastipur district of Bihar, India. Upon receiving the application, administrative officials initiated an investigation. The application, submitted on July 29, 2025, under application number BRCCCO/2025/17989735, listed Donald John Trump as the applicant and included a photograph of Trump. The address provided was Village Hasanpur, Ward No. 13, Post Bakarpur, Police Station Mohiuddin Nagar, Block Mohiuddin Nagar, District Samastipur. The local authorities, including BDO Dr. Navkanj Kumar and Brijesh Kumar Dwivedi, issued a press release confirming the investigation. Preliminary findings revealed tampering with the photo, Aadhaar number, and barcode. The application was rejected by the revenue officer on August 4. The administration is taking the matter seriously and is preparing to file an FIR in the Samastipur cyber crime police station. Further investigation is underway to determine the origin of the application, including the IP address and system used. This incident follows similar cases of unusual residency certificate applications from various districts within the state, raising concerns about the integrity of the system.
