Grieving Family Cremates Body at Husband's Doorstep in Protest

In an unusual act of protest, Gunja Kumari's family performed her final rites at the entrance of her in-laws' residence. They alleged that the husband's family tried to move the body secretly after she died. Police have since sent the remains for a post-mortem at SKMCH to determine the exact cause of death.
