A shocking incident has occurred in Muzaffarpur, Bihar, where a father attacked his two children with a sharp weapon following a quarrel with his wife. The three-month-old daughter succumbed to her injuries, while the other child, a three-month-old son named Kartik, is in critical condition, battling for his life in the hospital. The accused father fled the scene and the police are actively searching for him.
The incident took place in Madhopur Chikni village, under the Kudhni police station area. According to reports, Dilip Pandit, a resident of the village, had a heated argument with his wife on Wednesday night. The dispute escalated to the point where Dilip committed a heinous act, attacking his two young children with a sharp weapon.
The daughter died at the scene, while Kartik sustained serious injuries. Local residents rushed the injured child to the hospital, where his condition remains precarious. A crowd gathered at the scene following the attack, and villagers informed the police. The police arrived and initiated an investigation.
The accused’s grandmother stated she was unaware of the details of the argument between the couple. She mentioned that Dilip had returned from the market on Wednesday in a visibly angry state. The children’s mother has declined to comment, stating that nothing happened. Rural SP Vidyasagar confirmed the death of the three-month-old daughter and the critical condition of the three-month-old son. He added that the police are conducting raids to arrest the accused.
