Flood-like conditions have emerged in several areas of Bihar’s Nalanda district, causing distress among residents who are evacuating their homes for safer locations. This situation has been triggered by a sudden rise in the water level of the Falgu River following heavy rainfall in the neighboring state of Jharkhand. The increase in water level has led to damage to parts of some small dams, creating a flood threat in Nalanda. Water has inundated many areas due to the rising Falgu River.
