Joint police raid frees two abducted minors in Muzaffarpur case

The Muzaffarpur Human Trafficking case saw coordinated action by the Special Investigation Team and the Anti‑Human Trafficking Unit, following a complaint filed on May 12. Investigators received a crucial visual tip that pointed to a village called Sivapur in Baglapur district.

After a 35‑minute reconnaissance, officers launched a rescue raid that lasted 52 minutes. The operation liberated the missing 12th‑grade girl and an additional abducted adolescent from Nalanda district, both of whom had been trafficked through Kolkata and Baglapur's red‑light zones. The rescued minors are now in safe custody, and the police continue to dismantle the suspected trafficking gang.

Authorities have emphasized that the network appears well‑organised, with plans to sell the girl a third time before the rescue. Ongoing investigations aim to identify and arrest remaining members of the syndicate.
