A shocking incident unfolded in the Darbhanga district of the state. A judge exposed a lawyer’s falsehood in court, leading to the immediate order for his arrest. The lawyer, Amber Imam Hashmi, is known as a prominent criminal lawyer in Darbhanga.
Hashmi was an accused in a 32-year-old murder case, along with three other defendants. The hearing was scheduled for Friday in the court of Additional District Judge III Suman Kumar Diwakar. Before the hearing, Hashmi submitted Form 317, informing the court that he was out of the district.
The situation took a dramatic turn when Hashmi appeared in the same court to argue another case. Upon seeing the lawyer, who had claimed to be out of the district, the judge questioned him, “You are on leave, so how did you come to argue?” The judge then ordered the lawyer’s custody, causing a commotion in the court.
Following the judge’s order, a large police force arrived and took Hashmi into custody. Another lawyer, Sushil Kumar Chaudhary, who was present with Hashmi, was also taken to the Laheriasarai police station. Reports suggest that there was a scuffle between police officers and the lawyers, and it was claimed that Chaudhary’s clothes were torn. However, it is also reported that the other lawyer was later released.
