A shocking case has emerged in Patna, where a young woman has leveled serious ‘Love Jihad’ allegations against a medical student. The complaint, filed at the Mahila Thana (Women’s Police Station), accuses Mohammad Seraj, a postgraduate student at Nalanda Medical College and Hospital (NMCH), of deception and coercing her into religious conversion. The woman alleges that she was undergoing treatment at NMCH for the past three years. During this time, she met Seraj, who introduced himself as ‘Sonu.’ Their friendship blossomed, and he even accompanied her to the Chhath Puja celebrations, participating in the rituals and consuming the prasad. He told her he was observing the puja for her and would marry her soon. Trusting this, she accepted the relationship, and they began a romantic relationship.
