The Madhepura police department has solved the high-profile murder case of farmer Kameshwar Mehta, which took place in the Rampur Dehru village. In a startling turn of events, it was discovered that the victim’s wife, Gita Devi, was the prime architect of the crime. She had allegedly paid a 'supari' of Rs 75,000 to professional criminals to have her husband killed in their home. The police formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) following the incident, which occurred late on May 24. Although the wife played the part of a grieving widow and lodged an FIR, the technical cell's analysis of mobile records and local intelligence exposed her communication with the hired shooters.
