In Begusarai district, Bihar, a young man was apprehended and tied to a pillar before being savagely assaulted by assailants. A video of the incident has gone viral locally, displaying the brutality of the attack. The visuals depict the man being beaten, leaving onlookers shocked. Upon receiving information about the incident, the Lakho police swiftly intervened, rescuing the man from the criminals.
According to police, the incident occurred in Ward Number 15 of Manjhampur, under the jurisdiction of Lakho police station. The victim, identified as Rajiv Kumar, was reportedly on his way back home after collecting a pending payment when he was ambushed and restrained. The attackers then subjected him to a severe beating. Local residents immediately alerted the Lakho police.
Initially, the police took the victim to the police station instead of a hospital. The victim’s family claims that after rescuing Rajiv, the police kept him at the station for an extended period before arranging for his medical treatment. After persistent pressure from the family, the injured Rajiv Kumar was finally taken to the Sadar Hospital in Begusarai for treatment, where he is currently receiving care.
Two suspects have been taken into custody by the police for questioning. Sandeep Kumar, a police officer from Lakho police station, stated that they received information about a man being assaulted. Responding to the tip-off, the police arrived at the scene and transported the injured man to Sadar Hospital in Begusarai for medical attention. Investigations are ongoing, with two individuals in custody.
