JDU Chief Whip (with the rank of Cabinet Minister) Raj Kumar Singh participated in the TV9 Digital meeting in Begusarai on Thursday, prior to the Bihar assembly elections. He asserted that all constituents of the NDA in the Bihar elections are united, and there is no confusion among the parties. Raj Kumar Singh, who won the Matihani assembly constituency on a Lok Janshakti Party ticket in the 2020 assembly elections, later joined the JDU.
Regarding his relationship with Union Minister Chirag Paswan, Raj Kumar Singh stated that he always has a good conversation with Chirag Paswan whenever they meet. The relationship was never bad. All five parties of the NDA are working together strongly. There is no confusion in any party. The NDA will win the election.
He mentioned that there is no disagreement with Chirag Paswan. Everything is decided in their camp. Every party wants its leaders to be at the top. He said that Chirag Paswan is a progressive youth. Working with Nitish Kumar for five years will make him a more experienced leader for Bihar.
He also stated that they will win in Matihani with a large margin because Chirag Paswan, JDU, and BJP together have more than 60 percent of the votes. There will be no problem.
When asked about joining the JDU, he said that Nitish Kumar has visited Begusarai dozens of times. Despite being in the NDA, the position of his party was a dilemma. They were in the NDA but did not have a leader. So, he thought that the development of Matihani could happen under the leadership of Nitish Kumar. He spoke directly to Nitish Kumar. Nitish Kumar did not ask him to join the party. He said that he supports development. Today, they are happy that they are together, Chirag Ji is there, and BJP is also there. Today, all five parties are working together and unitedly for the development of Bihar. He said that they came earlier, and Chirag Ji also joined the NDA.
He said that it is not true that the district administration is under his control. He constantly cooperates with the district administration regarding his work. The district administration has to work for public interest. If they also get cooperation from public representatives, the work gets done.
Raj Kumar Singh said that his good fortune was that when he was fighting, he was fighting against the government. He was fighting against Nitish Kumar. They fought the election with so much discipline. There was never an allegation of violation of the election code of conduct.
He clearly stated that the NDA is united. All five constituents of the NDA have inspected each seat. Everyone’s goal is to win 225 seats. The goal is to form Nitish Kumar’s government again and give a stable government to Bihar.
He remarked that Prashant Kishor’s thinking is not about winning his party. His goal is how to corner Nitish Kumar? The people of Bihar understand from which jungle raj they came out and progressed at a fast pace. Now there are 50 days left. Many people have packed their bags and decided where they have to go. They are five strong parties. The NDA government is going to be formed with a majority in Bihar.
He said that the election will be a fight between the NDA and the Mahagathbandhan, and they are far ahead in this. Tejashwi Yadav was never the face in Matihani. They will win by a very large margin.
On the question of not being made a minister after joining the JDU, he said that he has never been regretful. He is not doing politics just to become a minister. He also received many proposals. Today, he is completely satisfied that he has been able to do what the people of Matihani elected him for.
