Suresh Yadav, a notorious criminal from Gopalganj, Bihar, was murdered in Howrah, West Bengal. Unidentified assailants on a motorcycle opened fire on the criminal at Sandhya Bazar, resulting in his death. Bystanders immediately informed the police, who arrived at the scene, took possession of the body, and sent it for a post-mortem examination. Over 20 criminal cases, including murder, were registered against the deceased.
Yadav was a resident of Kukurbhukka village in the Nagar police station area of Gopalganj. He was implicated in several high-profile cases, including the triple murder of Samata Party leader Girish Singh, the murder of Tirvirwa panchayat head Amarjit Yadav, the murder of Munna Singh, a Congress candidate in the 1995 assembly elections, and the murder of Raka Tiwari, a criminal from Siwan. Yadav had been absconding for a long time and was wanted by the police. Previously, Yadav had survived two assassination attempts.
