Odisha is expected to experience heavy to very heavy rainfall coupled with thunderstorms until July 4, influenced by a low-pressure area. This weather system, originating from the Bay of Bengal, is moving towards North Odisha, Gangetic West Bengal, and Jharkhand. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange warning for several districts, including Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Sundargarh, Sambalpur, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Jharsuguda, and Koraput, until July 3. These areas may face intense rainfall and lightning, with gusty winds. Fishermen are cautioned against venturing into the sea due to potentially rough conditions along the coast.
