An extraordinary situation has surfaced in Bihar, India, where two Pakistani women have been discovered on the draft voter list in Bhagalpur. The women reportedly arrived in India approximately 70 years ago. This matter came to light during a verification process conducted by the Ministry of Home Affairs, aimed at identifying foreign nationals residing in India beyond the validity of their visas. The investigation revealed that voter ID cards had been issued in Tank Lane under the names of Imrana Khanam alias Imrana Khatoon and Firdousia Khanam. These elderly women were also verified during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process, which was conducted in preparation for the 2025 assembly elections, and were subsequently issued voter ID cards. The Bhagalpur district administration has initiated proceedings in response to this irregularity.
