Lalan Singh, a senior figure in the Janata Dal United, confronted media allegations of internal discord after his absence from a high‑profile event in Patna. Singh categorically denied any fissures, stating that the party’s leadership, including Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, continues to make decisions through mutual discussion and coordination.

He recounted that the awareness programme aimed at training new legislators was a standard procedure, and that his Gujarat itinerary was confirmed weeks earlier. Singh conveyed that he had apprised fellow legislators and senior aides, such as Nischint Kumar, about his travel constraints.

When pressed about the reported clash between Anant Singh and Neeraj Kumar, Singh offered no comment, reiterating that no substantive disagreement exists within the party ranks. He accused the press of pushing its own agenda and urged journalists to report factual developments rather than sensational stories.
