A student preparing for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) in Patna, the capital of Bihar, died by suicide on Friday. The deceased has been identified as Venugopal. He had been staying at his relative’s house in Patna for the past four months, preparing for the exam.
The incident occurred at a house located on Ramnagar Road Number 8B in Patna. Venugopal was a resident of Sohsa village in the Arwal district of the state. The matter came to light when the deceased’s father was repeatedly calling him, but he was not answering his phone. Later, when the nephew was sent and the father himself arrived in Patna, they were informed that their son had taken his own life.
Upon opening the door with the help of the police and family members, they found Venugopal’s body hanging from a gamcha (a type of cloth). The police, with the help of others, removed the body from the noose and sent it for a post-mortem examination. The police are currently investigating the case.
