Police Arrest Eight Perpetrators in Motihari Gang Rape Case

Following a harrowing incident in Shyampur Bhattha, police launched an immediate operation after receiving the couple's complaint on October 18, 2026. Within hours, officers located the garden where the gang rape took place and apprehended the eight men responsible.

The accused – Ambikesh Tiwari, Riki Kumar, Ankush Kumar, Rahul Kumar, Kundan Kumar, Munna Kumar, Randhir Kumar, and Amit Kumar – were taken into custody. All of them belong to the same locality, Lalgarh Jimmig Singh Tola, which has raised concerns about a possible network of criminal activity in the area.

Investigators have seized the suspects' mobile phones and are analyzing call records to uncover any accomplices or further criminal plans. The case has been forwarded to the district crime branch for a detailed forensic and judicial process.
