Police and Officials Manage Stampede‑Like Situation at Singheshwar Temple

District Collector Abhishek Ranjan and the Senior Superintendent of Police, Dr. Sandeep Singh, closely monitored the crowd at Singheshwar Temple as reports of a possible stampede emerged. Upon learning of the disturbance, the Deputy Magistrate, SDM and SDPO rushed to the site, deploying extra police units to re‑establish queues. The temple trust appealed to devotees to stay calm, and law‑enforcement set up a temporary camp to keep a constant watch. By the time the situation was contained, only minor injuries were recorded, including a woman who slipped down the steps and a constable whose leg was caught in the failing barricade.
