Police Probe Motives Behind Upendra Kumar Singh’s Fatal Shooting

Following the fatal shooting of hardware dealer Upendra Kumar Singh in Arrah, Bihar, police have launched an intensive investigation into possible motives. The 36‑year‑old businessman was gunned down on a bridge near the Sun Temple after dropping his children at school. Three masked men on an Apache bike executed the attack with a close‑range headshot.

Investigators are examining a range of scenarios, including personal grudges, business rivalry, land disputes, and financial transactions. All exits from the city have been blocked, and CCTV footage from nearby cameras is being scrutinized for clues. The deceased lived in Gautam Buddha Nagar, Ward‑44, and managed a hardware shop in New Bahiro. His younger brother, Satyanendra Kumar Singh, serves in the Indian Army.

The police have completed paperwork and sent the body for post‑mortem at the district hospital. Authorities urge anyone with information to come forward as they piece together the chain of events.
