Railway hotspots identified as stone-pelting zones in Bihar

The Bihar Police headquarters has issued explicit orders to the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and the Government Railway Police (GRP) to intensify monitoring in the twelve identified districts. Officers are instructed to keep a constant watch over the flagged locations, treat stone‑pelting as an act of vandalism against government property, and pursue legal action. Under the existing penal code, offenders can face three to seven years of imprisonment for endangering lives and damaging railway assets.
