In Nawada, Bihar, a young girl’s request for water from her brother-in-law led to a horrific incident. The girl, along with her friends, was on her way somewhere when she felt thirsty. Spotting her brother-in-law, she asked him for water. It’s alleged that the brother-in-law mixed alcohol into the water and gave it to her. As the girl began to feel dizzy, she was taken to a secluded location. Three of the brother-in-law’s friends were already present. The four then allegedly gang-raped the girl. Police immediately launched a raid and arrested one of the accused. The search for the others is ongoing. The incident occurred in the Warisaliganj police station area. According to reports, a 14-year-old girl from a Mahadalit family was subjected to gang rape by some individuals from the same village. The incident took place on Saturday evening near the Sakri River, about a kilometer from the Mahadalit settlement. The girl and her friends had gone to the area to collect firewood when she felt thirsty. She asked her brother-in-law, who was drinking alcohol nearby, for water. The victim’s mother alleges that the brother-in-law and his companions forced her to drink alcohol instead of water, and then took her to a secluded place where they gang-raped her. The girl’s friends informed her family, saying that she had disappeared after going to get water. The family, upon learning of this, searched and found the victim, and immediately informed the police.
