Severe River Erosion Threatens Villages in Araria and Purnia

While the Kosi flows at high capacity, its tributaries are causing severe bank erosion in the Seemandh region. In Araria's Sikti block and Purnia's Amour, the Bakra and Kanakai rivers have begun swallowing agricultural land and residential plots. Displaced villagers are calling for urgent government intervention as the erosion threatens to wipe out entire neighborhoods.
