RJD MP Sanjay Yadav alleged that the people of Bihar, through an affidavit, have stated that Modi’s prime ministership is a result of vote theft. He further criticized the ‘lantern rule,’ referencing the period when Bihar was allegedly in a state of darkness and disrepair. Dr. Santosh Suman, Minister of State for Water Resources, stated that the ‘lantern rule’ had left Bihar distressed and shrouded in darkness. RJD’s attack centers on accusations of vote theft against PM Modi. MP Sanjay Yadav claimed the people of Bihar have stated that Modi’s election was fraudulent. The affidavit also reportedly claims that ‘Operation Sindoor’ has proven Modi’s weakness as a leader. Yadav criticized Modi based on the Prime Minister’s statement acknowledging the infiltration of ‘outsiders’ into Bihar, questioning Modi’s governance during his 11 years as PM. He argued that if infiltration occurred despite Modi’s long tenure, it indicated his incompetence and lack of understanding of governance.
Dr. Santosh Suman, the National President of HAM and Minister of State for Water Resources, highlighted that under the ‘lantern rule,’ Bihar was in a state of decline and darkness. He credited the current government for bringing Bihar towards the light, with a focus on development and trust. He mentioned Modi’s provision of development projects worth Rs 13,000 crore, aimed at realizing the vision of a ‘Developed Bihar-Developed India.’

At the NDA worker’s conference in Valmiki Nagar, JDU state president Umesh Singh Kushwaha addressed a large gathering, highlighting the significance of the location as the site where Mahatma Gandhi launched the Satyagraha movement. He said that this is the place from where the NDA initiated district-level worker conferences, which saw great success across the state. CPI(ML) General Secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya accused Prime Minister Modi of spreading false information about Bangladeshi infiltration, claiming it is a ploy to divert attention from failures. He alleges the government is trying to disenfranchise voters by removing names of migrant workers, women, and minorities from the voter list under the guise of the SIR.
The Indian Inquilab Party has changed its name to the Indian Inclusive Party, following instructions from the Election Commission. Party supremo IP Gupta stated that the change was made because other political parties in Bihar also had the word ‘Inquilab’ in their names. The party will contest the upcoming Bihar assembly elections under its new name.
