Bihar’s Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for associating the name of the Kosi River with a tower in the newly constructed MP residential complex in Delhi. Choudhary stated that this gesture signifies PM Modi’s affection and unwavering love for Bihar. He conveyed his thanks on behalf of the people of Bihar via a post on X. Prime Minister Modi inaugurated 184 new MP residences. The four towers housing these residences are named Krishna, Godavari, Kosi, and Hugli. PM Modi noted during the inauguration that just as these rivers sustain the lives of millions, the lives of the representatives residing in the towers named after them would also experience a flow of joy. Following the national attention on Kosi, Choudhary highlighted the NDA government’s efforts under Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to transform Bihar. He mentioned that the Kosi River, historically associated with floods and disasters, has been transformed into a source of water supply and prosperity for the state through strategic planning.
