Good news for female candidates seeking government jobs: the State Health Society Bihar (SHS Bihar) has announced recruitment for Assistant Nurse Midwife (ANM) positions. The application process begins on August 14th at 10 AM. Interested female candidates can apply through the official website, shs.bihar.gov.in, until August 28th at 6 PM.
A total of 5006 ANM positions are available. These positions are divided into three categories: 4197 posts under the HCS category, 510 posts under RBSK, and 299 posts under the NUHM category. Details regarding eligibility and selection procedures are outlined below.
Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates must have completed a two-year full-time ANM training course (diploma) from a recognized institution. Registration with the Bihar Nurses Registration Council is also required. The minimum age for applicants should be 21 years as of August 1, 2025. The maximum age for unreserved/economically weaker sections is 40 years. The maximum age limit for the OBC category is also 40 years, while for Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes, it is 42 years.

Selection Process:
