A government-run madrassa in the Katihar district of Bihar has become infested with snakes. The incident occurred at the Islamia Madrassa in the Laguwa-Dasgram Panchayat of the Barsoi block. Over a dozen venomous snakes have been found within the madrassa in the past two days, leading to the institution’s closure for a week.
The continuous appearance of snakes has instilled fear among the students and staff of the madrassa. Many students have stopped attending classes due to the fear. The emergence of snakes continued on Thursday, with a ‘gehunvan’ snake being spotted in a classroom.
