The incident, which occurred on Sunday during an inspection of the flood-affected areas of Manihari and Barari, has drawn criticism from the BJP. In response to the video, Anwar has offered an explanation, stating that he was feeling unwell due to heatstroke. He mentioned that the villagers, out of concern for his well-being, offered to carry him to prevent him from navigating the muddy terrain. He added that he felt uncomfortable due to the heat. Anwar expressed his gratitude towards the people, emphasizing their affection. He also mentioned the support he witnessed during recent rallies led by Rahul Gandhi and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, expressing optimism about the upcoming elections.
