The NDA, with Nitish Kumar as its declared Chief Ministerial candidate, has commenced its campaign for the Bihar Assembly elections. Prime Minister Modi himself announced this during a public gathering in Bihar. Meanwhile, the Mahagathbandhan (Grand Alliance) has yet to announce its CM face. In a recent interview, Tejashwi Yadav hinted at his suitability for the role. Now, Congress MP Akhilesh Prasad Singh has echoed this sentiment.
Akhilesh Prasad Singh stated that Tejashwi Yadav will be the CM face for the Mahagathbandhan, as there is no other viable option. Tejashwi Yadav currently leads the Mahagathbandhan in Bihar and is a strong contender for the Chief Minister’s position. He is also the current Leader of the Opposition. Previously, in the 2020 elections, Tejashwi Yadav was the Mahagathbandhan’s Chief Ministerial face.
Tejashwi Yadav stated in an interview that they would not enter the election without a CM face and that discussions within the Mahagathbandhan on this matter have already taken place. An announcement regarding the CM face is expected soon after seat-sharing agreements are finalized.
Currently, the focus is on the ‘Adhikar Yatra,’ a youth-centric initiative aimed at attracting investment, establishing factories, and addressing poverty and migration in the state, ultimately creating employment opportunities for the youth within Bihar.
