Former Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav narrowly avoided serious injury in a car accident on Saturday morning. While traveling back to Patna from a political event in Madhepura, two vehicles in his convoy were struck by a speeding truck near Goraul in Vaishali district. The incident occurred around 12:30 AM on the Patna-Muzaffarpur highway, where the convoy had stopped for a brief tea break. Yadav was a short distance away when the truck collided with the stationary security vehicles. Three security personnel sustained injuries and were immediately taken to a local hospital. The truck driver was apprehended at the scene, and the vehicle was impounded. An investigation into the cause of the accident is underway, with reports suggesting potential factors such as speeding or driver fatigue. The incident has heightened concerns about the safety of political figures traveling on Bihar’s roads, especially during late-night journeys. Yadav, expressing relief, has returned to his regular schedule and reassured supporters of his well-being.
