Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader and former Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav narrowly escaped a serious accident early Saturday morning. While traveling from Madhepura to Patna after a political event, a speeding truck collided with two vehicles in his convoy near Goraul in Vaishali district. The incident occurred around 12:30 AM on the Patna-Muzaffarpur highway when the convoy had stopped for a tea break. Yadav, a few meters away from the vehicles at the time, was unharmed. However, three security officials were injured in the crash and were immediately taken to a nearby hospital. The truck driver was apprehended at the scene, and the authorities have initiated an investigation into the cause of the accident. Initial reports suggest potential factors like speeding or driver fatigue. The incident has sparked renewed concerns about the safety of political figures traveling long distances in Bihar, particularly at night. Party leaders have called for a thorough review of VIP security protocols and road safety measures.
